In the dawn of ages, ‘neath the sun’s first light,
Australopithecus roamed, a sight so bright.
With baskets woven from the reeds so fine,
They gathered fruits, from fig to twisting vine.
Along the tracks of tramways, long and still,
That cut through savannas, over hill and rill,
They moved with purpose, agile, quick, and keen,
Collecting nature’s bounty, lush and green.
“O fruits of life, from tree and bush we take,
Your sweetness, for our journey, sustenance we make.
On tracks that guide us through the land so wide,
With baskets full, on tramway paths we glide.”
So sang the ancient ones, in ballad sweet,
A tale of survival, never to repeat.
In harmony with earth, under skies so vast,
Australopithecus, shadows of the past.
